FOR A FAITH
2:39
Lyrics & Music by Amanda Udis-Kessler ©2003
A congregational hymn celebrating our tradition.
For a faith that
invites us to be who we are and to bring what we have to the table,
For a faith that delights in the work that we do, and reminds us each day that
we're able
To choose life over death, trust over fear and love over all that is hateful:
For this faith I'm eternally grateful.
For a church that
inspires our souls to wake up and to live in the glory we see here,
For a church full of people from all walks of life because everyone's welcome to
be here
Where we laugh and we sing, plan and we build, and we find an abundance of
treasure:
For this church I give thanks beyond measure.
For a hope that the
future holds wonders in store by the grace of the great holy lover,
For a yes that is stronger than all of life's nos, and that opens our hearts to
discover
It is love that gives hope, love that says yes, and love in our healing and
mending:
For the love in this faith, for the love in this church, may my praises resound
neverending.
